Welcome!
Passenger Through the World is about my journey through life with travel, culture, people, and my love for God! My purpose is to love and learn more about Jesus everyday and steward the gifts He has bestowed upon me.
My walk with the Lord and finding peace and joy in knowing Him started late in my life. I knew something was missing, but just couldn’t figure out what. I decided to pray, but really it was just talking out loud in my living room to someone or something that could hear me and help me understand what I needed. I didn’t feel like I heard anything until I spoke with one of my friends (she’s a CRIP-Christian Repping in Public) lol. I told her about how I felt, went to a church with her in Paris, and bam, I knew I needed Jesus. I came home after that trip, bought a Bible and dove into learning His Word. There’s more to that story of course, but that moment changed how I wanted to live the rest of my life from then on.
I hope you enjoy my blog and don’t take anything personal. Everyone has an opinion about relgion and church, but that’s not what this is about. For me, it’s about relationship. I emphasize that in “Jumpseat Testimonies” because our stories (testimonies) are in relation to how we overcome struggles and in what ways we feel we are blessed. Some people acknowledge God seeing them through, some say the Universe, others say their Ancestors, and wildly some thing it’s by their own hand (to each its own). But regardless of who and what you feel has helped you along the way in life, you are still here and that’s something to be reminded of how loved you are!
Giving Him Praise and Glory for all that He blesses me with allows me to strengthen my faith, even in the unseen and unknown moments. As long as "we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7), we can have peace in knowing that everything that happens to us is for our good and His glory. There are so many scriptures, verses, parables, and teachings in the Bible that remind us that we are not alone in our circumstances. One of many of my favorite bible verses is John 16:33 which says, “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have over the world.” There’s beauty in knowing that Jesus has been through it all before us and that He knows what we are going through; he literally knows it before it happens and He still loves us. That’s such a beautiful thing and I’m grateful that I get to spend an eternity knowing Him intimately. Whatever your faith-journey is, I hope you are kind and compassionate in every interaction you have. I pray that I continue learning and embodying the Fruits of His Spirit and always make you feel welcomed here.
See you in the skies!
