Don't just exist. Live! Passenger Through the World is about my journey through life with travel, culture, and people. Being open minded and open hearted are two things that have allowed me to view and grasp the world in a more meaningful way. My passion is people and culture. My drive is travel. My purpose is to love.
Do the things you are most afraid of and do them with courage. Never let anyone deter you from your own capability. I don't have an unlimited credit line, a 401k worthy of retiring tomorrow or even a savings account that could be used in a "rainy day," but what I do have is the desire to broaden my horizons, download every useful money saving app, and an attitude of always wanting to find a destination and make that my home, even if for a temporary time.
I have gained a different perspective on life and cultural norms by seeing, learning and asking. People, be curious! It’s ok! My favorite poet, Ralph Waldo Emerson beautifully illustrated to "Dare to live the life you have dreamed for yourself. Go forward and make your dreams come true." With each person I meet, each meal I eat and every place I am blessed to be in the presence of, I leave a thank you from my heart for all that I selfishly take with me. Every experience I've had has shaped who I am today and continues to burn fire to who I want to be in my life.
I write out my experiences as a passenger in this job called life, whether it’s an experience with culture, travel, art, personal growth and teachings or just engaging with someone that has a different view than myself and journal them in Passengers Journal. I provide a window into my travels and life with photos in Oh the Places. The photos include a detail of what I took away from being in that moment and something I learned about it. I love quotes, mantras and all things uplifting, so at the end of each post, I include something that sums up that post for me. In Passengers Tips, I provide what I use from apps, sites and tips I received from others to make my adventures less costly and better prepared. Create your story, whatever that is one adventure and memory at a time on a budget. We all want to capture Instagramable photos, update Facebook worthy statuses and snap Snapchat teasers, but how many of you really want to live and do so unapologetically? Travel because you want to, not because social media tells and shows you it’s fun. Learn more about another culture because you’re intrigued and want to expand your mind, not because it’s cool. Be adventurous or more open to new things because it’ll inject happiness into your soul, not because you need an excuse to runaway from anything. For anyone that knows me, and I mean really knows me, Yolo is my mantra. You only live once (thank you Drake) so live!
